Led by Christina, our Active Travel Officer, we’ll be joined by a small group of local foraging enthusiasts to take a gentle walk around a local wood, looking for and identifying edible trees, flowers and plants.
We’ll chat about their etymology, how best to prepare them and the benefits of foraging. Come along to increase your knowledge around foraging and find out about the abundance of what nature has to offer in Kirriemuir. After the forage we’ll go to Sustainable Kirriemuir’s new community kitchen on Bank Street where we can cook up some of our foraged goodies.
This will be an easy walk but will be in a woodland area where there is likely to be uneven ground. Please contact us in advance if you have any accessibility concerns. Please wear sturdy footwear, and dress for the weather conditions on the day.
Children under 18 must attend with a responsible adult.
Meeting point will be confirmed after booking, but will be within Kirriemuir.
