What is Sustainable Living?
Did you know that 4/5th of Scotland’s carbon emissions are caused by the heat and energy required to grow, make, process, transport and provide goods and materials? (Zero Waste Scotland, 2021).
This is only made worse by the fact that we can be so quick to throw away things made using precious energy and resources, from food and clothes to everything in between.
It is part of our mission that we should all better value resources and we are here to help support you in doing so!
As part of our Nourish Kirriemuir Project
We helped to reduce local food waste by a 24 tonnes from March 2020 to March 2022!
An update from the SK team…
Team SK are so passionate about reducing consumerism and valuing what we already have. We have so much potential to make a big difference to our wellbeing, the cost of living and the environment by making small changes in how we live and shop.
