Join our Board

About Us
We are a community-led, environmental, Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) with a vision for Kirriemuir to be a sustainable, net-zero community where people and nature flourish. We are welcoming applications to join our board ahead of our next AGM in April 2026.
Our work is guided by our five year strategy which was developed in consultation with our community during 2022. Sustainability, community, resilience, diversity, health & wellbeing, and education are at the heart of our work.
Our Trustees are great ambassadors for our charity, modelling our core values and ethos. Together the Board of Trustees supports our Senior Management Team to lead the organisation. You can get to know us a bit better by visiting the Our Team page.
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for new trustees with a passion for making Kirriemuir a place where people and nature flourish, to join the organisation and help lead our charity and shape our direction and development as we grow.
We strive to have a Board of Trustees that is representative of the community in which we live and work. We would particularly welcome applications from groups currently underrepresented on our Board including people from minority backgrounds and younger people. No specific knowledge is required, just a willingness to do the best for our local community. Our existing board members are experienced, so are happy to support new trustees to get to grips with the role.
