Southmuir Bike Club
As part of our Active Travel work, we were awarded a small amount of funding from TACTRAN to improve walking and cycling infrastructure in the Southmuir area. After initial conversations with Southmuir residents we’re excited to announce that we’ve launched Southmuir Bike Club.
The bike club is a way for residents of Southmuir to access an e-bike for short periods, whenever suits, with a small annual charge of £36-£60 to cover the cost of running the scheme. The bikes can be collected from a secure bike storage shelter in Middlefield Playground at a time to suit you!

Am I eligible?
The club is for adults (18+) living in the Southmuir area, but if you would like to access the club and are outwith this catchment, please get in touch for a chat.
How much will it cost?
The standard price is £48 per year, with options to pay more or less depending on your circumstances.
How often can I use a bike?
Membership is subject to a fair usage policy of up to 3 consecutive days at a time, with a maximum of 60 days per year. If you end up wanting to use the bike more than this please get in touch and we can discuss options with you.
How do I know there will be a bike available?
We use the HubTiger booking system and bikes must be booked out through this before being collected. It’s really easy, and we’ll show you all of this in a quick induction.
