We’re a group of people who are just like you. Our vision is for Kirriemuir to be a sustainable, net-zero community where people and nature flourish. If you want to join the fun, build a stronger future and reap the benefits, we’d love to hear from you!

Our Staff

Rhiannon McIntyre

Our Manager, Rhiannon has a background in event, operations and finance management in the third sector, most recently focused in the performing arts and community development. She has a particular interest in using art forms such as dance, music, theatre and visual arts, to engage communities in conversations about climate change and protecting our natural resources. Rhiannon is delighted to be joining Team SK, and looks forward to using her organisational, communication, leadership and financial management skills to help Sustainable Kirriemuir continue to thrive. Amandla Taylor

Our Farm Manager, Amandla is an experienced grower, facilitator, and educator with a particular interest in the role of farming in reducing the impacts of climate change and supporting biodiversity. Amandla has worked for over a decade in third-sector environmental organisations, leading projects to empower communities and address the climate and biodiversity crisis, She is looking forward to getting back to working on the land and helping others to understand where their food comes from whilst contributing to reimagining our food system. Christina Turtle

Christina joined Team SK in April 2024, taking up a brand new role as Active & Sustainable Travel Project Officer. Having worked in the cycle industry for the last few years and also in the third sector in conservation, Christina brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for the outdoors. “I love being outside riding my bike or out trail running, usually with a pair of binoculars, and am excited to deliver active travel projects in the area.” You can contact Christina here.

Zoe Farrell

Zoe joined Team SK in March 2024, taking up a brand new role as Food & Growing Project Officer. Zoe brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for all things nature, bringing people together to share skills and learning about growing fresh, local, seasonal food! She is looking forward to getting stuck in; encouraging the local community to get involved, have fun, connect through food and growing and deepening our connection to the natural world. Fiona Cameron

Fiona was one of the founding members of Sustainable Kirriemuir. With a background in retail management she saw first hand the waste generated by excessive consumerism, and wants to support positive change for the futures of her two children. Her passion is Sustainable Living, and she’s excited to take on a new role as Communications & Engagement Officer to engage, inspire and educate our community in how we can live well, without it costing the earth. Linzi Burnett

Linzi joined Team SK in December 2023 as a Community Gardener (Schools). She brings with her a vast amount of experience in all things food, including cooking and growing it! Linzi has a passion for the outdoors, and nothing gives her more pleasure than spending the day pottering in her own garden. Having been involved in previous SK projects, she is already familiar with our work and is happy to be on board. You can contact Linzi here.

Our Board of Trustees

Kate Munro (Chair)

Kate, one of our founding members, is a filmmaker with a great love of nature. What difference can we make in the face of the challenges before us? Each of us is building the future, right now. Together, where we put our time, energy and money shapes the world we inhabit. Communities can make the good stuff happen and collaboration is key. Clare Little (Vice Chair)

Clare is a lifelong cyclist, recycler, composter and grower of her own fruit and vegetables who moved to Kirriemuir over twenty years ago. During the past few years she has enjoyed participating in Sustainable Kirriemuir events and being able to meet like minded, inspiring people. She joined our board in 2022 to offer her support to the organisation whose aim, to reduce the carbon footprint of the town, she is wholly committed to.

Millie Stevenson (Secretary)

Millie is one of our founding members. As well as being our Secretary, Millie also keeps busy with her day job at NHS Tayside. An advocate for active travel, she is never happier than when she’s cycling around the streets of Kirriemuir and beyond! Millie also leads on our Active Travel projects.

Wolf Rossman (Treasurer)

Wolf is a retired software engineer with a keen interest in renewable and sustainable energy. While not a resident in Kirrie, Wolf has lived in the area for almost 40 years. He is also a keen photographer and enjoys leisurely walks with his camera. Wolf joined the board in August 2024 and is taking over the role of Treasurer from Clare.

Steven Gardner

Steven lives in Kirriemuir and has worked as a fundraiser in the environmental sector for over 20 years. A passionate environmentalist with a particular interest in all things related to sustainable food. He can often be found foraging for mushrooms, seaweeds and plants, growing mushrooms and vegetables as well as enjoying a stravaig about the hills. He joined our board in 2023.

Antony Gifford

Antony manages Kinnordy Estate, a farming, forestry and property business outside Kirriemuir. Prior to moving to Kinnordy in 2016, he worked in Investment Management in London for over 20 years. While in London, he was also a trustee of a local endowed charity working to alleviate inequalities in the Borough of Islington.

Antony is looking forward to putting his knowledge to use with Sustainable Kirriemuir as the organisation grows, matures, and looks to develop a longer-term financial model. When not at Kinnordy, Antony is usually to be found sailing at a regatta somewhere in the UK often with his wife and/or two teenage sons. Antony joined the board of trustees in May 2023.
