Join us on an autumnal walk in our local woods to hunt for fungi on our Fungi Foray.

Led by our staff and fungi-enthusiast volunteers we’ll take a gentle walk around a nearby wood, looking for edible and non-edible fungi.

We’ll be introduced to the key points in helping ID fungi, and the families they are from. If you have an interest in fungi, this walk is for you! Come along, whether you have no knowledge, or you’re an expert!

We may have a wee cook-up after the walk, weather depending. This, along with exact meeting point, will be confirmed closer to the time, but will be within Kirriemuir.

Please wear sturdy footwear, and dress for the weather conditions on the day. Children under 18 must attend with a responsible adult.

Our volunteers are very knowledgeable but are not trained professionals. We recommend doing your own research and verifying any information yourself before sampling any wild foods.
