All members and prospective members of Sustainable Kirriemuir are warmly invited to join us for our AGM on Wednesday 22nd April 2026 at 7pm in Kirrie Connections. We’re looking forward to sharing a summary of our successes over the last year, as well as our plans for the coming year. Members will shortly receive an email invitation of the AGM. We kindly request an RSVP from all members, so we can ensure we will meet our quorum for the meeting. If you aren’t a member but are interested in coming along, please RSVP anyway and complete a membership application form.

Board of Trustees

Sustainable Kirriemuir is a two-tier charity run by our local community. As such, we invite applications to the board from our members ahead of our AGM. If you’re interested in becoming a trustee of Sustainable Kirriemuir, please visit our Vacancies page to read more about the role.

Guest Speaker

This year, we’re delighted to welcome Cat Cooper, Invasive Species Officer for Esk Rivers and Fisheries Trust, based at Kinnordy Estate. Cat has been working full-time in this role for a year, covering the North and South Esk, the Lunan, the Bervie, and everything in between. Prior to that, she was seasonal, covering both Esks and the Tay.

Her primary role is invasive, non-native species control, working with landowners and communities to identify and treat invasive non-native species along the watercourses. Currently, the main control species are Giant hogweed, Japanese knotweed, American skunk cabbage, and American mink.

Last year, Cat, alongside SK’s Action for Nature volunteers, tackled a section of Himalayan balsam from Wester Pearsie to Inverquharity Mill Farm, and the intention is to continue this work this year.

Official Documents

The Agenda, Board Nominees, Minutes of the previous AGM, and Annual Trustees Report & Statement of Accounts & External Scrutiny Report will all be added to this page ahead of the AGM, and will be available on the night.
