About Us
Sustainable Kirriemuir is a community-led, environmental, Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) with a vision for Kirriemuir to be a sustainable, net-zero community where people and nature flourish.
Our work is guided by our five year strategy which was developed in consultation with our community during 2022. Sustainability, community, resilience, diversity, health & wellbeing, and education are at the heart of our work.
The following values underpin our activity as an organisation:
- We promote environmental and social sustainability in all our work.
- We value the strength of diversity, in nature, people, and projects.
- We are collaborative, accessible, and community-led.
- We seek practical, innovative, and adaptive solutions.
- We are regenerative, never exhaustive, exploitative, nor competitive.
Our Trustees are great ambassadors for our charity, modelling our core values and ethos. Together the Board of Trustees supports our Senior Management Team to lead the organisation.
