Intermediate Sewing Workshop – Origami Tote Bag
Did you know that 4/5th of Scotland’s carbon emissions are caused by the heat and energy required to grow, make, process, transport and provide goods and materials? (ZWS, 2021).
In Scotland, at least 118,000 tonnes of clothes and 25,000 tonnes of shoes and bags are bought every single year. Clothing production has approximately doubled worldwide between 2000 and 2015. The total footprint of clothing in use in the UK was 26.2 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent in 2016.
Come along to our intermediate sewing workshop on Friday the 15th of July with Nicole from Dots ‘N’ Stripes, to learn how to sew your own origami style tote bag on a sewing machine.
If you have attended one of our previous beginner’s sewing workshops or you have some experience of sewing, then this class is suitable for you! You will receive step by step instruction on making your tote bag and have troubleshooting guidance from Nicole.
We will provide you with a sewing machine, fabric, and all the accessories required for you to make your tote bag during the session. If you have your own sewing machine, please feel free to bring it along, but let us know you are doing so by emailing email@example.com.
The session will last approximately 2.5 hours, including a wee coffee break.
Book your space up quickly as spaces are very limited!
We can’t wait to see you all.
