The Garden in July

In some places in Scotland July is the only month of the year guaranteed not to have any frosts! Whatever your version of a Scottish summer, you’ll be sure to have a plentiful harvest during July. Make the most of the warm days and long evenings by spending a little time each day enjoying your outdoor space, wherever that may be.

Garden To-Do List for July

  • Water your plants on dry days, early in the morning or in the evening is best.
  • Feed your tomatoes with a tomato feed twice a week once flowers appear.
  • Regularly weed your vegetable patch to catch weeds before they set seed.
  • Look out for garden pests diseases, if you spot anything that doesn’t look right you can check the RHS website for tips on what to do.
